Hi, I'm Betti

My radiation therapy team told me to go off of if during radiation as I guess they can counteract each other. I had just started 2 weeks prior to doing treatments so was off of it for the 5 1/2 weeks then restarted after I was done. Ask your team what you should do as they may say it won’t be an issue.

Hi, I'm RUTH E S.

I had breast cancer a year and a half ago they waited till I was done with all of my radiation before putting me on hormone blocking therapy. I have had no complications.

Hi, I'm Nancy L

Just starting my journey with radiation. I had &two different types of cancer. Right breast invasive but not in lymph nodes, left breast non invasive. I will be having my simulation on 1/23. I need to find an oncologist who will be prescribing the hormone blocking therapy and who will work with my radiologist. Any recommendations?

Hi, I'm Donna

Hi! I just recently finished radiation after a partial mastectomy. Stage 2a Invasive Ductal Carcinoma with a grade 3 tumor. Both my oncologist and my radiology oncologist told me to wait one week after finishing radiation before starting the hormone blocker, Letrozole. I’ve been on the meds for four weeks with no sign of side effects.

Hi, I'm Lavelle H.

My PA told me to wait until after radiation to give my body time to heal.

Hi, I'm PAMELA A S.

Quite by happenstance, I learned from a new nurse navigator that Claritin helps reduce the joint ache symptoms from hormone blockers used in treatment of estrogen/progesterone positive breast cancers. I started taking one over-the-counter Claritin every day. I believe it helped a lot and keeping active did too. P.S. regular not the decongestant version.
